Information Collection and Usage
Salon 01 requires customers who request information about our products and services to provide contact information such as their name, phone number and email address. Later, we request financial qualification information such as billing name, billing address and credit card number. Salon 01 occasionally asks for additional information when a customer requests information about our products and services. These requests are never mandatory and customers and visitors can choose to opt out of providing this additional information.
Salon 01 uses the collected information to set up accounts for customers and their respective companies. We may also use the information to contact customers, discuss their interest in Salon 01 and our products and services. Salon 01 customers that subscribe to our email newsletter as part of the set-up process, but all customers have the opportunity to opt out of the newsletter mailing. Customer information is never shared or distributed.
Salon 01 customers may be asked to provide and email address when registering. This address is used to send monthly statements, notification of product updates and service and support information as explicitly stated at the time Salon 01 requests information. We do not disclose to any third party the information provided. All collected financial and billing information is solely to check qualifications of prospective customers.
Salon 01 uses a third-party for credit card processing. This intermediary is not permitted to store, retain or use the information provided except for the sole purpose of credit card processing. The use of third party facilitates the integrity of our customers’ financial and billing information.
Disclosure of Data
Salon 01 will only disclose customer data, the contents of private communication contact information of customers if required to do so by law or as other wise stated in this statement or in good faith believe that such action is necessary to: 1)comply with law; 2) protect and defend the rights or property of Salon 01 and others; 3) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of its members or the public; 4) to correct technical problems and malfunctions in how we provide our service to you and to technically process your information; 5) to take precautions against liability; 6) to respond to claims that information submitted to Salon 01 has violated the rights or interests of the party; or 7) as permitted by law or to provide information to law enforcement.
In the event that Salon 01 is ever acquired by another entity, strict provisions have been made to protect all customer information and data. In such a transaction, customers may be transferred to the acquiring entity. Users will be notified via electronic mail in conjunction with a notice on our website thirty days prior to the change of or control of their personal information. If as a result of the business transition, personally identifiable information will be used in a manner materially different than stated at the time of collection, they will be given the choice to discontinue services without penalty.
Links and Third-party Sites
Salon 01 websites may contain links to third-party websites. Salon 01 is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of such websites. Third parties may independently collect visitor information when advertisements or other third-party communication is viewed. Third-parties must be contacted directly to prevent this from occurring.
Changes To This Statement
Salon 01 reserves the right to make changes to this Statement and to our information gathering and dissemination practices and will provide notification of the changes in a minimum of thirty business days prior to the changes taking effect. If as a result of this change the users’ personally identifiable information will be used in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection they will be given the choice to discontinue services without penalty.
