How it all began

In 1996, after ten years working as a stylist for other salons, Micki Stirsman and her husband, David, founded Salon 01 along the North Meridian corridor in Carmel, Indiana. Compelled by a desire to create a salon environment where staff would enjoy coming to work, be exposed to the best available education, product selection, and innovative technology, Micki began assembling what has become one of the finest professional teams of hairdressers in the Midwest. Along the way, the original salon space doubled and additional services were added to facilitate a full-service salon.

We continue to make waves.

Since moving into our new facilities in 2007, we continue to help set the trends. We’ve established several distinctions as we strive to stay on the cutting edge in style and technology. For example:

• We were recently named one of the "Top 200 Salons in America" by Salon Today Magazine.
• We are proud to be members of the distinguished Intercoiffure America/Canada and The Salon Association (TSA).
• We have been rated by Indianapolis Monthly Magazine as one of the top salons in Indianapolis.
• We have been featured in Elle magazine for "The Best of the Best" and as one of the country's "Best Color Salons.
• We have enjoyed being the stylists for the 500 Festival Queen and her court the past few years.
• We are the official stylists for the Indiana Pacemates.
